Literature Text

Begin part 2.

(The next morning, at Amy's Baking Company, more customers show up, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who are planning a romantic breakfast, Olaf, who wants an ice-cold mug of coffee and pancakes, Mulan, who wants steak with soy sauce, despite the fact that it's usually a dinner food and not breakfast, Merida, who, being Scottish, wants boiled haggis, and lastly, Belle and the Beast, who are also planning a romantic breakfast of sorts. Piper has to take the orders herself, since Kristoff and Jay are running late due to oversleeping, and she is struggling to get the orders.)

Piper: Uh... uh... two big pieces of toast with cheese, coffee and waffles, steak, haggis, and one big enchanted feast... coming right up! (She runs into the kitchen, asking the chef, who just so happens to be Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls. Apparently, Grunkle Stan taught him and Mabel how to do cooking out there.) Dipper?! Aren't you supposed to be in school?

Dipper: School's out for the whole week, so I came in to help!

Piper: But aren't you a little young to cook around a stove? You could get hurt from the flames.

Dipper: Don't worry! Grunkle Stan taught me how to cook! What could go wrong? (As Dipper puts a pot of boiling water down, some water splashes onto him.) OW! OW! OW! OW! OW!

Mabel: I told him to be careful...

(After a quick run of just 30 minutes, all the foods are ready, but Piper accidentally sends them to the wrong tables, upsetting everyone. Except for Olaf...)

Mickey: Hey, wait a minute! We ordered the toast with cheese, not steak!

Minnie: Calm down, Mickey...

Merida: Och! I canna believe ya'd serve me an enchanted tarkey! Ah ordered the haggis! I'm gobsmacked, lassie!

Piper: My name is Piper, not Lassie! Do I look like a dog? (As you might've guessed, Piper does not know much Scottish slang.)

Olaf: What is this? Looks like reindeer meat... I'll try it anyway! Hee-hee-hee! (He happens to try a bite of the haggis Merida ordered.)

Mulan: I thought I asked for steak, not waffles and coffee. And where's the soy sauce?

(When she hears everyone yelling about getting the wrong orders, Piper quickly gives the customers the orders that they asked for. She breathes a sigh of relief, until Mickey and Minnie start to take a bite of their toast.)

Mickey: Time for a feast! (Mickey bites his toast, and then...) HURK! This toast is way undercooked! It's not swell at all.

Minnie: What could be so bad about this food? (She takes a bite, and is also green to the gills.) OH! IT IS AWFUL!

Olaf: And didn't I ask for pancakes instead of these big circles that look like Kristoff's fishing net?

Piper: You mean the waffles? Oops! (Quickly, she runs back to the kitchen and asks Dipper to cook pancakes, which takes him only five minutes to do so.) Here you go, friendly snowman.

Olaf: (gasps) Thanks! I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs! (He then gives Piper one.)

Piper: Aw... I'm glad you like the food!

Olaf: And here's my tip, straight out of Arendelle!

(Instead of paying in U.S. dollars, however, Olaf tries paying with Norwegian krone instead. The bill comes to around $35 US, and he tries to pay 35 in krone, but because of its exchange rate (1 US dollar = 8 Norwegian krone), it's not enough, so he keeps looking for other krone to total up to the equivalent of $35 (280 krone, to be exact). He eventually succeeds, giving her a 15% tip (42 krone, therefore totaling 322 krone for the meal. Piper eventually asks the snowman to exchange the Norwegian money into American money, since the restaurant does not allow foreign currency. He eventually returns with American money, pays Piper, and leaves to go play with Sven, who just happens to show up with Kristoff right as Olaf is leaving. Piper is especially happy to receive tips, since she wants to spend the money on more paper so she can continue writing her 400,000 line essay about wishes.)

Piper: Ooh... I can't wait to continue my poetry!

(Just then, Amy shows up. She is not happy with how Piper wants to spend her tip money [which she earned from most of the customers except for Mickey and Minnie, who were not happy with their undercooked cheese on toast] instead of giving it to her and Samy, which is illegal for an owner to take servers' tips.)

Amy: You are supposed to give me and Samy your money! I have three cats who need grooming, you know! Meow-meow-meow!

Piper: But I-- I wanted to spend my hard-earned money on my poetry!

(Kristoff and Jay walk in on Amy and Piper's argument.)

Jay: I... think we'd better scat.

Kristoff: Sure thing, Jay. You coming Sven? (in Sven voice) Uh, yeah! I don't like seeing people cry like that, Kristoff! (in normal voice) Crying? I don't hear-- uh-oh...

(Piper suddenly becomes hysterical and begins crying because of mean old Amy yelling at her. She runs out of the restaurant towards her car [a seafoam green convertible] and sobs. Luckily, Vega, also from Star Darlings, shows up to console her after practicing new songs with Sage, Libby, Leona, and Scarlet in a nearby park.)

Vega: Piper? What's wrong?

Piper: I got yelled at for making money instead of giving it to the owners! Now, I'll never finish my 400,000-line poem about wishes! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! (A river of tears flows from Piper's face.)

Vega: There, there, Piper. I'm sure you'll be able to get your hard-earned money back somehow. Come here, you! (They both exchange hugs as Piper continues crying.)

(Meanwhile, back inside, Jay hears the conversation between the two girls, so he sneaks into Samy's office to steal the tip jar and give the money Piper earned back to her. When he leaves, Samy arrives to find the money he's not supposed to get gone.)

Samy: What the-- GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE'S THE MONEY! WHERE'S THE (beep) MONEY, AMY?!

Amy: Better not have been taken by that poisonous little viper, Piper! Or her freaky friends. At Amy's Baking Company, the customer isn't always right. They are just haters and trolls.

Samy: But, baby doll, didn't you see? Most of the customers like their food! I call the police right now!

Jay: Oh, you mean over this? The money that's supposed to go to one of the servers and not you guys?

Samy: COME BACK HERE WITH THE MONEY!!!

(In a montage, Samy starts chasing after Jay, who quickly rushes out of the restaurant and gives Piper her tip money that she earned. Jay then jumps on his motorcycle and races far away from the restaurant, but Samy eventually gets into his car and continues chasing after him, breaking the speed limit on the 405. Jay manages to dodge traffic without hitting other drivers or pedestrians, while Samy is stuck in traffic, which LA's 405 is infamous for. Eventually, traffic starts to die down and Samy continues the chase. But because Jay is so far away, Samy has trouble looking for him. Meanwhile, Jay arrives at a park where Lonnie is due to give another hip-hop performance-- Mal, Evie, and Carlos are waiting for him. Soon, Samy gets off the freeway and back onto city roads. When he spots Jay, he looks for a parking spot, only to find that went the wrong way-- it's one of those areas that have spikes on the ground that puncture your tires when going the wrong way instead of through a bar that lifts up. Disgruntled, Samy parks his car and kicks the tires. Throughout all of the chase, Yakety Sax, aka, the theme song to The Benny Hill Show, is heard in the background.)

Evie: Who's that freaky-looking guy over there? He's really rotten to the core, right, girlfriend?

Mal: You said it, Evie. You said it.

(Soon, news crews from Los Angeles stations KTLA, KABC, KCAL, KTTV, and KCBS as well as Phoenix stations KSAZ and KPNX arrive at the restaurant. Customers are seen being interviewed talking about how awful most of the food is and how Samy and Amy are completely obnoxious and not willing to take negative or even neutral criticism-- only positive. At the same time, reporters from the local newspapers as well as the Los Angeles Times and Arizona Republic also try to interview the couple, but Samy posted a "KEEP OUT" sign on his door. Meanwhile, Jay, Kristoff, and Piper devise a plan to quit working at the restaurant and give their mean-spirited bosses payback.)
